This project, proposed by the Georgetown Conservation Commission and the Open Space Committee, asks for an appropriation of $240,000 to purchase 26 acres of land adjacent to existing protected Water Department and Conservation Lands. The parcel identified as map 6A - Lot 2A resides, in part, within the Town's designated Zone II (the watershed of the town’s wells). If purchased by the Town for this purpose, the Conservation Commission intends to protect the parcels via a permanent Conservation Restriction under MGL Ch. 184.
