Historic Landscaping and
ADA accessibility to Brocklebank Museum
The Samuel Brocklebank Museum houses a wide variety of
artifacts depicting the History of Georgetown and the early settlers of
Essex County. The Museum is a part of the Essex National Heritage Trail
and is recognized by the Federal Parks as a stop on the Underground Railroad.
To make the museum handicapped accessible, a walkway and a new ramp to
the entrance are needed. The landscaping, due to current construction on
Route 133, has been disrupted and needs replacing, as well. This project
would also include: outdoor lighting, a copy of the original Georgetown
Fence that was once on the property, historically correct landscaping,
and HP parking.
